These Terms apply to all transactions between Nova Stone Worktops Ltd and the customer. Any amendments or special agreements must be made in writing and accepted by both parties before taking effect. We reserve the right to update or revise these Terms at any time without prior notice. The version in effect at the time of order confirmation will apply.
A 50% deposit is required at the time of templating to confirm your order and secure materials. The remaining 50% balance is due on completion of installation or upon delivery of the agreed work. All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise specified. All goods remain the property of Nova Stone Worktops Ltd until full payment has been received. We reserve the right to withhold installation, delivery, or release of materials if payment terms are not met. Late payments may delay installation dates and could result in additional storage or rescheduling charges.
Once your deposit has been received, your materials are ordered immediately based on your confirmed selections. Orders cannot be cancelled once materials have been cut or fabrication has commenced unless Nova Stone Worktops Ltd is in breach of contract. Cancellations made after the deposit is paid may be subject to supplier or restocking charges, typically up to 20% of the order value, to cover material and handling costs. Deposits are refundable minus any costs incurred by Nova Stone Worktops Ltd. Refunds are processed within 14 working days of confirmation. Any request to change material or colour must be made in writing at least 7 days prior to templating.
It is your responsibility to ensure the kitchen units or area are fully installed, level, and secure before templating. All sinks, hobs, and appliances must be on site for accurate measurement. If our technician attends site and the area is not ready to template, an aborted visit charge of £80 + VAT will apply. Any changes requested after templating must be submitted in writing. These may incur additional costs and delay production. Once templating is signed off, fabrication begins. No further changes can be made.
We work within industry tolerances of ±3mm on length, width, and thickness. Natural stone, quartz, and ceramic materials can vary in colour, veining, and finish from showroom samples. These are natural characteristics and do not constitute defects. Should you wish to inspect slabs prior to cutting, please request this in writing at least one working day before templating. Failing to do so constitutes acceptance of the material as supplied. Some stones may display natural pits, resin lines, or polish marks; these are typical and not grounds for rejection.
Lead times are typically 7–14 working days from templating, subject to material availability and workload. If your installation must be rearranged within 24 hours of the booked date, or if our team is unable to install due to site conditions, a rescheduling fee of £200 + VAT will apply. You must ensure clear and safe access for our team to deliver and install heavy materials. Parking and access must be provided. Any permits or restrictions must be arranged in advance. Failure to do so may result in additional charges for parking, fines, or lost time. We do not carry out electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or cabinet adjustment works unless specifically agreed in writing. It is your responsibility to ensure that work areas are clear, level, and ready. Nova Stone Worktops Ltd is not liable for damage to unprotected units, walls, or flooring caused by lack of site preparation.
Delivery and installation dates are estimates and not guaranteed. Nova Stone Worktops Ltd will not be held liable for delays beyond our control, including supplier delays, traffic, or unforeseen circumstances. Risk in the goods passes to you upon installation or delivery, whichever occurs first. If we are providing delivery only, it is your responsibility to ensure adequate manpower and equipment for unloading. Inaccessible or unsafe sites may result in redelivery charges.
All Nova Stone Worktops Ltd installations are covered by a 5-year workmanship guarantee, effective from the date of completion. This guarantee covers installation workmanship only and excludes damage caused by misuse, impact, movement of cabinets, or poor maintenance. Worktop materials are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty of up to 15 years, depending on the product. This warranty is direct with the material supplier and subject to their terms and registration process. Any defects must be reported in writing within 7 days of installation. Warranty claims may be void if products are altered, mistreated, or exposed to improper cleaning chemicals or heat. Small cosmetic marks or natural irregularities are not considered defects.
In the event of an issue, our liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the affected goods only. We are not responsible for indirect losses including loss of profits, inconvenience, business interruption, or consequential damage. Nova Stone Worktops Ltd shall not be liable for any damage caused by incorrect site measurements, poor cabinetry, or third-party interference. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Nova Stone Worktops Ltd shall not be liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, adverse weather, accidents, or supplier delays.
All goods remain the property of Nova Stone Worktops Ltd until full payment has been received. In the event of non-payment, we reserve the right to remove or reclaim installed goods to recover outstanding balances.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
